The main timeline shows the dates that most clearly carry the story forward. This page preserves every explicit year, month, and day notice in Ezekiel without crowding the timeline.
Counting rule: Ezekiel’s numbered years are counted from King Jehoiachin’s captivity. Creation-year labels follow the project’s established Nisan and Tishri boundary; a missing month remains under review.

The timeline places Jehoiachin’s removal in Creation year 3326, Nisan year 879, during Adar. The next Nisan opens the first full captivity year. Ezekiel’s fifth-year opening vision therefore falls in Nisan year 884 and, because its fourth month is before Tishri, Creation year 3330.

A necessary caution
Two notices do not name their month

“And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month…”
Ezekiel 32:17 · KJV
“It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month…”
The KJV wording supplies the year and day but not the month. Because the Creation-year label changes at Tishri while the Nisan year continues, supplying an unstated month would silently choose between two possible Creation years. The register therefore marks both labels under review.
Book order and time order
The chapters are not arranged as a strict calendar
Ezekiel 29:17 contains the latest date in the book—the twenty-seventh captivity year—although it appears before the twenty-fifth-year temple vision in chapters 40–48. The timeline follows the dates themselves, not merely chapter order.
