Events involving Herod Archelaus · Judea
Archelaus, Antipas, and Philip receive territories
Matthew identifies Archelaus as Herod’s successor in Judea; Luke later names Antipas and Philip in their tetrarchies. Their converted accession year follows the working Herod placement.
“But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither. Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis.”
This placement follows the KJV Gospel sequence and its stated rulers, feasts, ages, and intervals. Working Gregorian conversions remain identified where the underlying date is still under review.
