Baasha kills Nadab
Baasha ends Nadab’s short reign and takes the northern throne during Asa’s third year.
“And Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha smote him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines. Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.”
The synchronized year in Asa’s reign places this northern succession in the spreadsheet sequence.

Baasha’s reign over Israel is counted as twenty-four years; accession-year counting explains why simple subtraction may differ by a year.
“In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.”
The length and starting synchronization are stated in 1 Kings 15:33.
